The long wait is finally over for those who have been using A5 devices. The untethered jailbreaks of iPad 2 and iPhone 4S are fast approaching with the ongoing progress of the developers. The time for waiting is being shortened as the “Dream Team” work persistently to get the A5 devices jailbroken.
There was a tiny sign of relief this evening, seeing that the time of public release on untethered jailbreak of iPad2, and iPhone 4S is imminent. Although we haven’t seen any green light from the developers, we can read from their blogs and Twitter updates that they are winning the battle against A5 devices.
If you are observing the amount of tweets and replies of updates, whether they are from Planetbeing or Pod2g, you can’t help but wonder when all these things will take their last bait while people are eagerly waiting for A5 liberation. It is exciting, yet with full-throttled suspense on every update. We are hoping that our A5 devices are set on the tune for freedom.
The process began last November 2011. The people behind the scenes of jailbreak community have provided us information. A goal was reached or a show-stopping problem has occurred. The jailbreak history has been transparent to the public. Thanks to the brilliant mind of Pod2g, keeping all his fans updated.
A video was recently released from the French iOS security researcher showing the iPhone 4S running in iOS 5.0.1 with an untethered jailbreak. Chronic Dev Team member, Dustin Howett who is a famous developer took and supplied the video.
Howett’s is responsible for different utilities, which include a cross-platform set of tools for development that are designed for deploying, managing and developing iOS software, which disproves the requirement of XCode. Definitely, this video excites the iPhone 4S users, yet we know there are more things we should expect.
This evening, we have found a blog post from Pod2g, which seems to be the shortest post in Pod2g history of updates. So, what does the blog says? Actually, the post consists of one uploaded image and four words. It seems it lacks in content, yet this latest post is perhaps one of the most revealing on his blog.
The post shows an image [above] of an iPad 2 running in Cydia 1.1.3 on a full screen, obviously showing an iPad 2 running on iOS 5.0.1. The blog post says, “No more to say!” clearly showing that the team is close to pawning the iOS 5.0.1 on A5 devices completely and an official release could be imminent.
Another update that we have found is a recent photo upload [above] from the Twitter account of the infamous hacker Planetbeing. The update shows an image of iPad 2 running in IntelliScreenX, a jailbreak tweak from Cydia. This is awesome. For all the iPad 2 and iPhone 4S users out there, we all have hopes.
I can’t wait to get my iPad 2 an IntelliScreenX and other jailbreak tweaks from Cydia and give my device the freedom it deserves. Tell us what you think about the recent updates. If you have comments or questions, you can hit the comment button below.
