Chinese site leaks AMD’s HD 7850 & 7870 specs

Chinese website EXPreview confirmed about AMD releasing its mid-range HD 7850 and 7870 series graphics cards in March. The cards are based on Pitcairn GPU.

The website also published some leaked information about the two graphics cards. It said the Radeon HD 7850 to feature 2GB memory and the Radeon HD 7870 will come with 1GB of memory.

Tom’s Hardware earlier reported that the HD 7870 will be price tagged at $300 and the HD 7850 will cost about $200.

HD 7870 Specifications

  • 22 Graphics CoreNext Compute Units
  • 1408 stream processors
  • 88 TMUs
  • 24 ROPs
  • Memory bus of 256-bit
  • Memory size of 2GB GDDR5 memory
  • Clock speeds of 950 MHz core
  • Memory frequency of 1375 MHz (5.50 GHz effective)
